The past few weeks, starting my Wave 27 training class, have been such a killer I knew I had to go somewhere to keep my sanity. The weekend after their first week of transition bay should be the best time. Hence, Ian and I took a couple of vacation leaves and we checked in at Astor Hotel to r-e-l-a-x. Some of my trainees really had to ruin it a bit and checked in as well. We had to change rooms so they couldn't find us.
I always tell my friends that I now seldom watch movies with the lead stars not Korean, Chinese or Japanese. However, I knew I really had to see Hairspray when I first heard about it. My uncultured self has very little background about it except that it's a musical and all. It's the gay genes maybe. At any rate, I watched Hairspray last night with Ian at Greenbelt 3. To say that it's a funny movie is an understatement. It is so enjoyable from start to finish. Ian, who seldom laughs hard inside a movie house, was in stitches. That's a really good gauge for a comedy for me. I heard that there is a sing-a-long version of the film! I WANT!!!
Another work week to start. We just checked out and are now in Station 168 before we grab lunch and probably pass by Island spa for some full-body massage and facial. Lovely weekend. I'm looking forward going to work tomorrow night. They say millionaires have this particular attitude in common: as soon as they wake up, they cannot wait to go to work. I feel the same all the time. A good start, I suppose.
I love you, life. Saranghae.
