is there a way to make every journal friends-only or do you have to set that each time you post a new journal??

It's an entry by entry thing, I'm not sure if you can set a default so that all your entries are automatically friends-only....

To set the minimum security level of all future entries in your journal, go to the Admin Console (http://www.livejournal.com/admin/console/) while logged in and type:

set newpost_minsecurity

Do not enter the < or > symbols; these are only for reference purposes. To set the minimum security level to Friends-Only, replace with "friends". To set the minimum security level to Private, replace with "private". To set the minimum security level to Public, replace with "public".
