Bill Fagerbakke was born to play Tom. M-O-O-N, that spells born. Gary Sinise was also perfect.

I agree with you that there could have been someone better than Molly to play Fran, but I disagree with your opinion on Jamey Sheridan. He hooked me from the first scene. Unlike some of the other actors, when I re-read the book, I see Jamey when Flagg appears.

Also - much like Tom Cruise as Lestat, I never thought Rob Lowe could pull off Nick Andros until I saw him. Amazing.

Yes, at risk of being too wordy in answering the "question of the day"; I also agree with Rob as Nick. And like you with Jamey, I always now see Laura San Giancomo (sp?) as Nadine. The young actor who played Harold was also very good.

I also cannot hear the song "Boogie Fever" now without picturing Harold in his basement, building his little radio of destruction.

I dug the book out again...I feel a summer reading coming on...

I <3 Tom Cruise no matter what (even though he's gotten a bit odd IMO)...he ever walks in my door...yeah, I'm hittin' that. =D

Oh, oh, oh! I was just talking about The Stand the other day. I was much younger the last time I saw this movie, so I don't remember very much but I loved Mother Abigail. Had to look it up, but she was played by Ruby Dee. I remember being just utterly creeped out at the scene with her in the cornfield. :)
