[The screen slowly resolves to reveal a very pretty young woman of about fourteen. She isn’t actually looking at the screen, however, nor does she seem to realize that anyone else can hear her. [It takes her a moment to realize that the voice is coming from that thing she just dropped and she grabs it, poking until she sees Juudai's face. Her eyes just light up, too.]

...Would you even know what I was talking about if I told you? This is an entirely different world than the one we were in, with a different layout, and even different rules. Duels don't happen quite the same way here -- if you wanted to put it literally, they don't happen at all the way we know them, actually.

It'd be easier if we met halfway, I know, but there's a couple things you should know first, ridiculous as they're probably gonna sound at first.

I don't know, maybe it is. But I'd have to guess that it's a whole separate thing altogether, because they don't duel here. At all. They do something completely different.

Well, first of all, it's pretty easy to tell your powers are gone, and they took away your body. Right?

I wish I knew. It happened to me, too, though.

They... give you a certain way to protect yourself here, though. Basically, this whole place works like a game, and you have to follow the rules, or you won't get anywhere.

You still have the bag that lady gave you, right?

I have no clue. It strips everyone of their powers, whatever they may have, and some even get new bodies sometimes. I guess... you were one of them.

Well, there's something in there like a little red-and-white capsule that contains a creature that will defend you from the other, wild creatures that pop up on the way to the next city. It's called a Pokemon, and it'll be your partner for a while, so try to get along with it for now, okay?

It's a three-day walk to the city after the one you're in, so you'll kind of have to rough it for a while, but I... I think you've been through a lot worse than camping out before.
