I dream of Who

Watcing Doctor Who 3x11 Utopia last night caused me to have endless Doctor Who dreams. It had everyone in the dream including the Doctor, Martha, Jack, Rose, Pete, Jackie, but no idea where Mickey was. In one of the many dreams, Rose was created from this other human as a doll to bait Jack and the Doctor, but it didn't work because the fake Rose wasn't really good as bait and was like Rose except with no memory. Then there were dreams where Rose and her family really did make it back or something. There was Martha and Rose being separated from the others which induced girl power team work.

Not into threesome ships that much, but I have always loved Doctor/Rose/Jack. The three of them together is simply fantastic. David Tennant and John Barrowman have a lot of chemistry already that I'm so on board Jack/Doctor because their love also means the love of Rose. OT3!

I loved the radiation room scene. Not simply because I am a Rose lover and shipper, but I found it was very honest and character revealing for Jack and Doctor. Some thing the season sort has missed out on since the Doctor doesn't really talk that way to Martha.

Doctor: "She's trapped in a parallel universe."
Jack: "I'm sorry."

Usually the Doctor is the one saying sorry which really says it all.

Spoiler free, but I sort of saw the Master thing coming for this season especially after Gridlock, but the execution was the good part what with the Chameleon Arch and the watch. Speaking of shipping, the HoYay was off the charts this ep with Doctor/Jack and the FoeYay of Master/Doctor. Seriously:

Master: Say my name (bitch).
Doctor: Master...

They are definitely setting up a Martha to do a Companion saves the day/season thing. I like Martha, but I'm wary about this knowing that I won't be awed if she does something like the deus ex machina of the S1 or cry like in S2 (shudup). I can also see a Martha/Jack scene so they can cement their OT3 or something. Oh Martha. We all love the Doctor to bits. Even if he's a selfish, suicidal, mean, insensitive, prejudiced, coward, emo, angsty, last of his kind (until now) Time Lord.

I was thinking about how silly S1 Boomtown was in the beginning, but it was so good at establishing Team TARDIS and the Doctor as coward/killer. I remember it fondly.

doctor who, dreams
