ATTENTION: We've got some new ways of doing things around here.
According to the poll we posted and some comments left by a few members (and a dash of discussion between Kat and I with our Modly Mod berets on), a lot of you would prefer things to be done a little differently around here.
We are inclined to agree.
So listen up.
1. Challenges will now run for two weeks, and will be overlapping. So we'll still be posting a new challenge every Sunday, but they will just be running an extra week longer. This way, if you aren't inspired by one challenge prompt, you will have another option.
2. Longer word limit. This means the minimum a fic length can be has gone up too, so that the least amount of words it can be is 500 and the most it can be is 2,000. This works better in many ways, not the least of which is that it gives us longer fics to read and the writers some extra leg room to let their Doctor's ramble and their Rose's shut them up with kisses.
And that's it! We're really hoping the new rules will bring more of our members out of hibernation and induce a massive fic writing boom the likes of which hasn't been seen since the 60's.
