Today is Rose's birthday. The Doctor wanted to bring her to an amazing planet... to a fantastic other world that she would have loved... but he remembered something she had said a long time ago.

“Once upon a time...”
He said it loudly, with his everlasting grin. Rose frowned, not knowing if this was some sort of riddle, or if he really wanted to tell her..
“A fairytale, Doctor ? Really ? That’s for children !
-Oh, Rose Tyler, don’t tell me you aren’t a child. And today is a special day, isn’t it ?” he answered, with a teasing look.
She frowned even more. A special day ? Once upon a time ? Rose ran to the Tardis door.
“Oh !” she gasped. In front of her, balloons, music and girls wearing large princess dresses.
“Welcome to Disneyland, Rose !” said the Doctor, following her, and she let out a small squeak. She had always dreamt of going there, she had told him a while ago, but she really had thought that he hadn’t paid attention.. and he had remembered, and brought her to Disneyland on her birthday !
He was staring at her with a satisfied grin, glad to see her so surprised and so happy.
“Happy birthday, Rose !”
She grabbed him and hugged him tight, a huge smile upon her face. He held the embrace for a second, then let her go, reluctantly.
“Rose, this day is yours. Enjoy yourself ! We won’t be fighting any alien today”, he joked, and she let out a laugh.
She grabbed the Doctor’s hand, and started running towards the first stand she saw.
“This is glorious ! Thank you so much !” she said, almost bouncing with excitation. He didn’t want anything else. He had what he wanted : her, smiling, happy. And her hand, in his.
