Waiting on the Road to Nowhere, Rose/Eleven, Rose/Ten II, PG-13, 2134 words

Author's Notes: Spoilers up to "The Impossible Astronaut".

A run-down car in the middle of some desert isn’t the weirdest place one of these dreams has landed us. That’d probably be that one time when I stumbled across him in the middle of town in 20th century Casablanca ( Read more... )

Holy Moses this was a bit heart breaking yet so incredibly sweet. Your Eleven is fantastic as well!

Aw, thank you so much. You have no idea what it means to me to hear that you like the way I write Eleven. Of all of the characters I've ever written in any fandom, I think I find him the most difficult.

Reviewed on Teaspoon but must also say it here...

This is gorgeous - on so many levels!

It will always be the Doctor and Rose. Always!

Oh sweet Rassilon, you've got me all choked up. And read in light of last night's BBCA premiere of "Let's Kill Hitler"? Yes, I'm definitely in a weepy sort of mood.

I love the idea of Rose being his "number 1." She was the person I thought of, briefly, when River asks in the episode who he trusts above anyone else. Of course, that would never happen in canon, but it's wide open in fanon and thank goodness that it is!

I haven't seen Let's Kill Hitler yet personally, so I can't really comment on that.

I have to admit that my brain did immediately supply the answer of 'himself' to the question of who the Doctor trusts the most in that few seconds before the Doctor actually appears. However, the idea of Rose being his number 1 is, I believe, a fairly logical progression from what the Doctor says in The Satin Pit about her being the thing he most believes in. Trust, belief, love - it's all a package. No, they'd never go that route in canon, but a girl can dream, right?

Next you should write about the BDSM club Ten and Rose go to called "The Satin Pit". It's got the most amazing light show. Ood at your discretion. :P

This was so heartbreakingly beautiful. I'm on the verge of tears right now. The mood you created, and his sadness... It was beautiful. Thank you.

Thank you. The intention was to tiptoe that line of sadness without stepping too far over, so I'm glad to hear you're only on the verge of tears. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Hee. Actually, Rose probably wants to keep that one to herself. ;)

... not if I steal it first.

The Fez I mean. I'm that kind of a girl.

Hello, Sweetie.

Nice fic. And, that one person up yonder totally hit it. You left us on teetering, not diving in. Very nice.

Well, probably Rose wouldn't mind if you steal the fez as long as you leave the Doctor himself for her. XD

I'm glad you enjoyed this. Thanks for commenting.
