Oh, yay!! Thanks so much. That line you quoted, BTW was added on at the last minute. I wasn't happy with how I originally ended it--I wanted to return to the cyclical theme--and after a few tries, I got that one. I'm so glad you liked it.
Am I the only one wanting more? What are you craving, little girl? Do tell. I have one more Bad Wolf fic to do for challenge 35--gimme a plot bunny and perhaps you shall be rewarded...
Hmmm... I think you give yourself a nice plot bunny with this - these three lines:
"Still, she loves him and commits herself to him for a lifetime.
It’s the least she can do.
She grows another heart instead. He trains her, he teaches her, and he passes on everything he knows. "
The "it's the least she can do" sounds so resigned and condescending, I think that's great angsty potential right there. And it must be awkward and jealousy inducing for Ten II to witness her turn into what he can no longer be, and yet he teaches her... Yup. If I had my pick at a sequel - this is the point I'd like to see. :D
Which reminds me - the multiple story thing you wrote in which Rose overhears Ten II ramble things while sick and later ask him about it? Except for one thing, which takes her years to ask him? I'm just doing a little poking of your ribs here, in case you ever feel inspired to dabble with that one. ;)
