You’d think it would have been all darkness and emptiness, but it was like standing in a fog and I couldn’t see anything and all of the sounds were muffled. It smelt like burnt rice pudding and I could feel the air on my skin, but it crawled.

I have always wondered what it was like for Rose - captured by the Wire.

The part about the air crawling on her skin... may have nightmares about that!

Thank you. I would think it would have been a very creepy experience? I mean, where did the mind go? It would still have to exist, otherwise they wouldn't have gotten them back when the Doctor defeated the Wire. I'm kind of glad it gave you the creepy crawlies, though I hope you don't have nightmares.

This is lovely. I think it's a bit more than just about comfort. I read this and think, these two are soulmates and need each other so much.
