a/n: This fic came about almost entirely because Billie Piper looks so devastating in galoshes. True story. Muse's "Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You" and Stars' "My Favorite Book" might have helped a little, too.

I adored all of this, but particularly:

Definitely one of those moments, tossed off so lightly, that fits them perfectly in a deeper sense as well. I like it muchly.

One of the approximately 456,000 things I love about them is the way they're so in tune to the little things about each other no matter what's going on, so that line working for you means an exxxxtra lot.

I've had so little time to read/write any DW fic, but I saw your name pop up and had to come see your Doctor/Rose (as they are so similar in voice to mine) and was not disappointed. This is ADORABLE, and BP is definitely way too hot in galoshes (and, er, out of them?)

Quite liked the Doctor's little internal fit about the wobbly bit on the TARDIS. So him. You capture their voices so perfectly, and I love it, girl.

i started reading this and i was like, "what the hell are galoshes" then I realised you were talking about wellies :P Sorry I'm from the U.K and never heard them be called galoshes before.

OMG ARE THEY ONLY CALLED WELLIES OVER THERE?

I could do a quick run through and change it, if you think it throws off the balance of the whole thing too much. Because like, obviously if British people don't even know what galoshes are, I should not be calling them galoshes in my fic ABOUT BRITISH PEOPLE AND THEIR MIGHT AS WELL BE BRITISH ALIEN BOYFRIENDS.

Love it! The galoshes are adorable and I like that you made them the Doctor's old ones. Your Doctor is so good, and the way you write his thoughts are the perfect sort of organized chaos. There's a lot of depth here despite the light tone that really fits them.

I'm ridiculously glad! I'm totes taken with the idea of Rose and any of the Doctor's things, up to and including his old footwear, so there was really just no choice but to have them be his.
