Today I volunteered at the Study Abroad affair, which ended up being hilarious.
Best things I heard at the Canada table:
"I really want to go to Calgary. I've been obsessed with Calgary since the 1988 Olympics."
"Is Toronto in Quebec?"
"Which university is closest to the best skiing?"
"Do only people in British Columbia speak English?"
"How American is Toronto?"
It's amazing how little people know about Canada. I didn't take advantage of the free food unfortunately, but I made some friends! I met a guy who is from Glasgow, but went on exchange to U of T last year. He was like, "Awesome! Let's talk about Toronto!!!" and I was like, excellent. He also lives in my area (which no one else at the University seems too) and we're hanging out later this week. After the fair, I went for burgers with Angela and her Australian friend. Awesome day, but now I have to write a paper =(
