(And also, Studio Pierrot didn't get it! That makes me almost as happy as the news itself. Maybe then the animation won't get butchered like in Saiyuki.)
(Nah, all of the animation for the TV series sucked. My hatred for the Reload and Gunlock animes is pretty bad. It has a few good moments, just like Gensomaden had a few good moments. I'm also a little more partial to Gensomaden over Reload and Gunlock, and that's probably because I prefer the story more there.
But when it comes to animation, Requiem and the Burial OVAs are where its at. Of course, those ones also had a bigger budget.
All of this is making me want to find the Executive Committee anime that I heard about before. I swear to god it exists, but I have no idea where to find it. I don't think any of Minekura's other work has been made into anime! Saiyuki's been the big one, but then again, it's also her longest series right now.)
Same here. I only saw one episode of Reload and Gunlock, I didn't like either.
Yes, in the OVAs the animation is waaaay better. *nods*
Here, for the two Araiso OVAs. But the animation is just as bad.
The funny part is watching Kubota and Tokito moving, but for that, we have the small official AMV of Wild Adapter, Knockout Drops, in which they don't talk, but hey, they are there. You can see it here.
Thanks for the download! I've always wanted to see both of them, and I have a friend who'd love to see it too.
When I'm actually done with school, I'm going to catch up on WA. I'm really loving it so far, and who knows, it might win over Bus Gamer in my heart. (I've always had a soft spot for Bus Gamer ever since I read it.)
I think one of the most amusing moments ever is when I bought my friend a wallscroll thinking it was from Saiyuki, and then realizing later that it was from WA. (She really likes the characters that look like Hakkai. O.o ) But it all works out in the end because now that friend is obsessed with WA, and I haven't seen a wallscroll for it since.
You should, it's really lovely and Kubota Makoto is just one of the best characters ever created. His complex personality beats... everything. and TokyoPop's translations so far are quite good. ^^
And XDD! I wish I had a friend who gave me wallscrolls like that! *chuckles* Hehe, characters who look like Hakkai. Minekura's characters look very alike in all of her mangas, but Kubota really has nothing to do with Hakkai or any other Saiyuki character XD;
Indeed. I have some series by them, X, Tokyo Babylon, CCSakura, Legal Drug, Wish... And I'm liking what I've seen of Tsubasa so far (this coming from someone who will be cosplaying Kurogane in February XDD). I've also seen a bit of XXXHolic.
I like CLAMP too, although their style of drawing is not my favourite. I still prefer Minekura's style or Nobuhiro Watsuki's. Although Minekura, like Yun Kouga, makes her characters look too alike.
In fact, it actually bothers me that some of the characters are not only alike, but their names are close, like in Tokito and Toki's case. XD;
I think I just died of squee.

And XD! It was lucky then!

I think it was in Bus Gamer that they were playing a Saiyuki video game, and I about died of laughter.

I don't remember if it was on Saiyuki or Stigma, I think it was on Saiyuki, in one of the shopping scenes, Kubota and Tokito appear XDDD
I love it when mangakas do that <3
And indeed, CLAMP would be the first obvious group to mention. Seriously. >>; XD;

CLAMP turned crossovers between series into an art form. And then they made Tsubasa and XXXHolic and cornered the market. *loves CLAMP, but yeah*
