I'm still finding this hard to believe omg. Do you think it's be an actual series or just OVA-ish episodes? One of my friends raised this question, and I find it interesting. XD
The problem with Araiso was mainly the quality of the art, and probably the budget for the production. T.T A-And if WA is animated but with no consistent art - I will probably scream and attempt to chunk something really heavy and damaging to the animation crew.
I no longer have interest for Saiyuki either - I don't see where the story is going, I don't have the love for the characters at all anymore. ;.; WA on the other hand manages to keep my interest in both the storyline and the characters themselves, even though I have zero idea of where Minekura is going with it.
She said that? I'm really surprised - I would have thought that by now, with the whole rescuing Tokitoh thing going on, the story is going to end soon. The foreshadowing in this arc is so heavy that I'm expecting Kubota to go splat by the end of it. ;.; But if there's going to be a plot twist... Hmm. But first thing first, hope Minekura recovers from her illness soon! TwTb

And I believe I read it somewhere, yes. I was surprised as well, because, like you, I see all the foreshadowing as well, and I too am expecting my favourite character of all times, Kubota, to die.
However, lets think about it a bit - When he saves Tokito... He can't die just then. We still need to find out about Tokito's past and his relation with W.A. Also, I believe we will be finding more about Kubota's family, mainly his father.
So yes, I believe he will die, or be very, very close to it. And yes, I believe Tokito will only realise his feelings for Kubota once Kubota is no more. But maybe... not just yet.
