Back home from a whirlwind birthday trip to the Sunshine Coast to visit family, lasting just over 24 hours.  The ferry over was operating on only one engine, and shortly after we disembarked I could hear the fire alarm sounding.  Exciting.  Birthday consisted of family, chocolate cake, a delicious seafood pasta dinner up at Madeira Park in Pender ( Read more... )

• I'm going to be an uncle.  Again.  My sister informed me earlier this week that she is pregnant with baby number 3.  She is scheduled to come into the city and have some tests done to make sure that all is well; she's pushing forty and there is apparently increased risk of things such as Down's Syndrome occurring.  ( Read more... )
