And so, here we are: February, month two of the year that many of us refer to as 'two-thousand-and-twelve'. The tempus, it certainly does fugit 'round here.

So far, it's been a fairly quiet month: work continues apace, the band is practicing, playing a few gigs here and there and getting ready to (finally!) release our debut CD. My lovely lady and I have marked thirteen months together, with this roller coaster of love showing no signs of slowing down or becoming even a tiny bit dull and predictable.

Oh, and we're going to Paris. That's happening.

She'll be there for about three weeks or so, and I'll be joining her for 8 days near the end of March/beginning of April. She has friends who are currently staying in Paris, about 5 km from the Eiffel Tower in an apartment overlooking the Seine River and have invited us to stay with them, which makes this trip very affordable. "What's the weather like in Paris in March?" we asked. "Oh, you know, a lot like Vancouver," they replied, "except you're in Paris."

Touche, madame. Touche.
