The entire world believes that I am in love with Superman. Tabloids such as World's Finest have written stories about the two of us from the first day I arrived on the scene and was dubbed "Wonder Woman". Clearly, I was a perfect match for Kal, or so the world thought.
And yet, the fact is that I am not in love with Kal. He is my best friend, the one soul on Earth I can trust above all others, in spite of the differences we may have, and yes, there are differences aplenty between us. Just because we are both heroes does not mean that we see eye to eye on everything.
The secret is that I am in love with someone, though. And as other magazines would like to think, no it is not with a woman. I am sorry to disappoint you on that front. Nor is it Aquaman. No, this someone...he is...he is a wonderful man, though we too have our differences. Yet, I do not let myself think of him too often, as I know that we can never have anything between us.
Why, do you ask? Because he is who he is, and I must let myself be content with that fact.
