Yes, it's been a while. Probably because not much is happening, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

I've been playing a lot of video games, especially Oblivion. Oblivion never ends. It goes on and on and on, which is a good thing, in a way. I'm choosing to do all the side quests first before the story missions. I've racked up about 100 hours so far on the game and have completed about 4 main story quests and countless guild and side quests. My reward is not as I expected though, as I learned while playing, all the things I have to fight in the main quest story line level up with me, so it's still a bitch to have to kill them all. It's a difficult game that involves strategy and cheating the system to make it possible to win. At least, that's what I've come to discover. The strategy I've found is to sneak attack them for 6x damage then go invisible and wait until they stop looking for me and sneak attack again. Slow as fuck, but it sure as hell made the Gladiator arena part easy as fuck.

I also bought a PS3... probably against my better judgment. I knew I wouldn't have to pay for it immediately (0% interest CC), but I will soon.. by October. I got the MGS4 bundle, which is a solid deal. Played through MGS4 and beat it. More cut scenes than you could throw your grandmother at. It was absurd, but really enjoyable. If I could ever get ahold of Jon, we can play it online. I bought a bluetooth headset so we could do just that. I also got Assassin's Creed and Nascar 08 for 22 bucks each. I figured they were cheaper games that I would probably like, and they both are OK. Nascar isn't the same as Matt's on the original Xbox, the format is different and I don't like it as much. Assassin's Creed is a little better, though very very repetitive. I can only play it in spurts before I have to go back to the 360. Between Oblivion and the PS3, I haven't played any online shooting stuff in a month and a half. I need to get back in there. Soon, I guess.

Work is going well actually. I think, for the first time, I really might have some positive results that I will be able to put together into a paper. I'm in the middle of isolating my samples now for testing, I'll probably post on that once I know what's up.

Busy few weekends coming up. Nothing really this weekend, except that Amy is gone and I have to fend for myself. Next weekend is Ginny's party, then Liz's wedding and Seth's thing, then the last couple days of the week after that, Amy starts school. I don't think she actually starts teaching until a week later, but it will be pretty exciting. Maybe she'll let me help her set up her room.

Anyway, things are mostly good now. Got a lot of great things going on, but maybe there will be a few greater changes to come in the future. Perhaps we'll see.
