He sat quietly in the dimly lit kitchen, at the table, with a cup of tea. His soft voice sounded loud enough in the silence.

"I thought you were done with the glasses."

Betsy jumped at the sound of his voice. Her heart racing a little before she calmed down. She wanted to hit herself for being so edgey.

"Oh hi Eric...they're back for a different reason. I keep getting headaches and these things help a little...not to mention the bags under my eyes, right now, are huge." She offered a small smile and leaned against the bench.

"Perhaps you should see someone if your headaches and insomnia are persistent," he suggested, sipping his tea. "Hank, perhaps. Charles. Ororo."

She shook her head slowly and pushed off the bench, walking towards the fridge.

"They all have enough on their minds. I'm not going to bother them with my problems. I'm hoping they will fix themselves." She sighed softly and closed her eyes as she opened the fridge. The light from the fridge causing her to cringe. She quickly grabbed a soda and shut the door, sighing and gripping the bench.

"And that's working out well for you, is it?" he replied dryly. "We're all here because we're interested in helping mutantkind. Even with headaches. You should see someone."

"I know, Eric. Everyone's been through so much lately, and I didn't think it was fair to burden them with anymore than was necessary. I thought I'd wait until it all settles down a bit more."

She sat next to him.

"How have you been, Eric?"

"As well as any of us, I suppose. We missed Stryker at Alkali Lake. I'm concerned."

He glanced over at her.

"And am still doing better than you are, I would guess."

He disapproved of her self-neglect, though he expected that was clear at this point.

She frowned lightly.

"That man scares me. He's just a human I know..but all he has done and plans to do..." She shook her head and turned away for a moment.

"He's usually in my nightmares..along with other things.." She sipped at her soda and rubbed her temples.

"He's in the nightmares of many mutants," Erik supplied softly. He watched her for a moment. "You should, at least, take something for the headache."

He wanted to offer her some sort of assistance or comfort, but he was still wary of touching her again.

Although Betsy wouldn't admit it, she would love some comfort right now. She slowly stood up and swayed a little before she could steady herself and head for the medicine cabinet.

"I'll take something...just don't know if it will work."

She walked slowly, her body exhausted as well as her mind. She filled a glass of water and moved it to her lips, half way though she lost grip and it smashed across the ground. She cursed and bent down to pick up the broken pieces of glass.

"Don't," Erik told her, getting up and all but shooing her away from the glass. "Don't. Go sit down."

She held her head and moved back over to the chair.

"Sorry...mustn't have been holding it properly.." She frowned lightly. "Perhaps I should get some sedatives from Hank, to save the rest of the glassware."

Erik gave her a look as he bent to clean up the glass.

"Perhaps you should seek proper medical attention from Hank instead of sedatives, which will only mask the problem."

"I don't do too well with needles and doctors but I promise I'll try." She rubbed her head painfully.

"Erik, do you feel comfortable with doctors?"

Erik looked over at her sharply, pausing in his clean-up job.

"Excuse me?"

Betsy flinched at his tone and dropped her gaze.

"I just meant...do you feel comfortable in that kind of environment....I mean do you trust Hank completely? I don't really know him and I'm not good with labs and stuff..just..forget it, sorry." She said quietly.
