It burned him.

He lifted his hand and examined the lighter, giving it one more experimental flick. It sparked, it burned his hand, he shook it furiously and scowled at it.

"Is... is something happening or is it just me?" She asked before she saw herself in the reflection of some ornamental art piece of the wall. "What the fuck? I'm blonde?!"

"What do you do for him here?" She asked.

Bobby and Rogue came to mind.
"I do whatever he needs done. Go on missions. That sort of thing."

Lorna continued down. She wasn't really informed on the whole mutant versus human issue. Of course she was aware of human's hate, but it wasn't like mutants weren't capable of doing horrible things.
"Sounds pretty cool. I'm sure your ability helps with the missions, protection wise."

The atmosphere in the mansion felt... weird. He tapped on the door to Erik's office, then opened it a crack and peeked inside.
"He's not here."

Once at his office, she looked in. "All that metal, and I've never felt so empty in my life." Lorna frowned. It was like a vulnerability. She needed to find Erik, see if it was the same.
"Maybe he went to find the Professor. They are good friends in this time."
