Depowering Event Starts [open]

Some point mid afternoon, a silence falls over the Mansion that's nearly as bad as it is outide. In a corner of the house, a blinding light speeds across the wing. A boy appears in just a white shirt and pants. The light then spreads, like a bright lensflare shuddering itself through the property ( Read more... )

Marie had been in the basement working out when it happened. She saw a light out of the corner of her eye, but weird occurances were usual here. She didn't think twice, just kept lifting weights.

However, in her track suit, eventually she came up to grab a water. She fully intended on going back to work out.

The kitchen was clearly the first place to look for somebody to help. Mostly because it was closer than the offices, and Sean had no idea where everyone would be, just now.

He burst in, hair in a bit of disarray.

"Rogue! Hey, um. Do you have any idea why somebody might have just... fainted? I mean, Yuriko. She seemed in good shape and all, and now she really doesn't." Out of breath, too.

She looked up from the fridge and over at Sean. Something was wrong. Rogue hadn't met the woman but she had heard about her. She shook her head. "No. Is... is something happening? Did something happen to her?" She asked.

"I take it you didn't run into the Professor on the way here?" Or Logan.

Sean shook his head, too. "No, I'd have taken them back to her if I had. She was just... on the ground. Breathing, but barely, didn't answer me. I put her on a couch, thought it would be probably better than leaving her on the ground."

After a moment, he added, "there wasn't any blood that I could see, nor any... bruises or anything. Or limbs at odd angles. Em... Should I splash water on her face or something?"

He started towards the sink, for a glass and water, not thinking too much how close he might be passing to the fridge.

Or to Rogue's elbow.

He bumped her briefly. Luckily there was normally buffer time of her ability. She winced a bit, but there was nothing. Marie frowned then. "Watch it, Sean. Next time it could be a lot worse." She said, before moving to get some ice.

"Maybe it's a pre-existin' thing?" She suggested.

"Oops. Sorry." He frowned slightly. "Worse than what? I didn't feel anything."

Sean shrugged, stuffing some of the stronger smelling spices he could find in his pockets, too. He'd heard that strong smells could bring consciousness back, too, right? "Maybe. She looked fine and she didn't say about anything like it, but then again, why would one say stuff like that to me?"

"Nothin'?" She questioned, raising an eyebrow. Well usually there was something. The pull before her powers started taking.

"I dunno, Sean. But you should definitely find an adult."
