Hey kids -- random post. I've been looking for some new pop-for-kicks artists for diversion, considering that my fave fave fave artists are either so original they are hard to find, or are on their way out of existence (sadness). For example, here are my top picks for whenever:

Now that you know a small sample of my eclectic non-musical non-soundtrack tastes, here is a short list of the groups whose songs have caught my attention wholeheartedly. What I would like to request from you, my loves, is -- what CDs / greatest of albums would you recommend so that I could make a real investment (I prefer to buy legit CDs rather than download or borrow/burn, being a composer I know how pissy that can make a musician) while gettting the whole flavour of these performers without wasting money on dreck.
