Missing you

Jul 19, 2004 16:01

This is the first ever "Josh Ver Halen's Journal with Theme" entry. My theme for today is "missing". There are so many things under the category of "missing" (of course with a little imagination) happening right now. We have:
1)Heather...spent the most amazing five days of my life at camp with her...I've never met anyone like her. She's so much fun, and of course, THE KISS (see previous journal entry).
2) Laura...in this case, both of them. I met a Laura at Flight Expo from Colorado, and she was so much fun to talk to and hang out with. And also, my best friend who's been in Idaho for days. I'll be in LA before I get to talk to her again...and I'll probably be hanging out with her the next time I talk to her.
3) Winning...Does anyone realize the D-backs have lost 23 of their last 27 games? We are 4-23 in that run! What happened to the days when we could win 2 out of 3 games? How about even 1 our of 3?
4) Randy Johnson...It's pretty much set in stone right now that Randy's gonna be traded. We don't know when and we don't know where. We know it's gonna be soon though. It's only a matter of time now. He's been great for us...so I don't see the need to trade him...but when my name is Jerry Colangelo (you piece of crap!) and I'm running the D-backs, I'll be sure to take that fact to heart. For now...I already miss him and he hasn't even been traded yet.
5) Christine...my new ultra-Diamondbacks Fan/Friend from Glendale. Gone away for a week up in WA and Canada. And I leave before she gets back. It's been tough without the daily e-mails (lol). But yeah...now I have no one to gripe about the D-backs with. Get the heck back here soon, chica!

Oh yes...the anniversary party for my parents yesterday (25 years) wasn't half bad. Our music was less than stellar...but Mayfield and I made 42 bucks a piece out of it...so that wasn't half bad. Overall, between getting up with Heather at 4AM every morning to run at camp, flying every morning at about 6AM, the 10AM saturday to the 10AM sunday music practice session, Mayfield spending saturday and sunday night and the whole stress of being back and getting ready to leave again, while missing Heather badly...I'm really tired. I think I'm gonna grab some sleep pretty soon. Would be a good idea I think. Anyways...have to check the fire situation for California now. We do have to drive there after all...and that will be rather difficult if there are fires blocking the roadway. And I'll post pictures of the camp as soon as I figure out how to do that. There are some pretty amazing images in there. Anyways...I'm out
-Josh
