What can I say about Paris? My honeymoon was probably one of the best weeks of my life. I mean, if you had to ask me about the best days of my life, it would be right up there with my wedding day and the 2008 Home Run Derby.
I'd never been out of the country before John decided he wanted to take me on a vacation. Because of our suspension we decided to get married right away, and turn Paris into our honeymoon. It was breathtaking, from the moment we began our descent and I got to see the lights of the city from the airplane window. I got to spend a week in one of the most romantic cities in the world and I loved it.
I also learned a lot. I learned my husband speaks French. I didn't know that before.
We did a lot of things. Took a lot of long walks. Saw some art museums. Watched the sunset together. We did...what you do on a honeymoon. And I absolutely loved every minute of it, and adored my husband. I'd say I'd go back, but I don't know. Maybe on our twentieth anniversary. Anything else could just never compared to a perfect week, the first of the rest of our lives.
