11.1 - Who will you always turn to?

Sorry I'm a little late in replying! (:
When I was a kid, my foster parents taught me: “Turn to the Lord. Wherever you are, whatever happens, turn to the Lord and you will get help and a good advice”. I tried to, honestly. Every time I felt utterly alone or had troubles at school or there were family quarrels I asked Him for help. He always ignored me though. Always. My prayers were futile. Finally, I realized that He listened to the good guys only. I was anything but a good guy, and that explained everything. So I just stopped praying. “What’s the point of talking to Him if He doesn’t reply?!” I thought.
When I became an adult I lost my faith completely. I had nobody to turn to and was alone with my bitterness and despair. Then I met John. He was the first person to listen to me. He could see all my issues and helped me to overcome them. I’ve changed since then - I hope I have, although I’m still far from being a “good guy”. I’m still learning. Now, in my life, there are people I love and appreciate, and I never hesitate to turn to them when I have some problems or feel disconcerted.
Strangely enough, it seems that I’ve started to believe again. In love. They say our Lord is Love itself. If it is true, it means that I’ve regained my faith. Thanks to my loved ones.
