i am, indeed, ACTUALLY posting an LJ entry.
Mostly because I am excited about my impending vacay to Las Vegas in just four short days! Patrick and I are leaving on Wednesday night from Dulles, getting to Vegas around 11pm (pacific time), renting a car at the airport, checking into the Luxor (the pyramid hotel...I've been there before and it is EXTRAVAGANT), and promptly ordering room service! Haha! I find it humorous that we're traveling to the other side of the country to be brought nachos and sundaes by kitchen peasants! The last time I went to Vegas, the room service was mind-blowing and a highlight! A life-changing experience, really!
OH... we've also got tickets to see Zumanity, the adults-only cirque du soleil! I told Patrick I wanted to see a show where there would be NO CHANCE OF KIDS in the audience, and I didn't have interest in strictly watching boobies flop around for an hour in a half, so we ended up at the one where hot nude guys are included!
Not much else goin' on in my life...Work is boring and unchallenging and fairly thankless so I'm trying to figure out what I should do next. Yesterday we were having a little get-together in my department because one of the editors is getting married. At first I just thought we were having food and that would be the end of it. Fine with me. But then I received an email at around 11 am informing me we were playing wedding shower games! Fuckin' screw that! I'm there to do my job and get paid, not make friends and go to idiotic wedding showers! On a spur of the moment decision, I promptly went to the bathroom, faked a sickness by stayng in there a bit too long, and then emailed management and told them I was sick and would be leaving immediately. It was fun!
