After listening to NPR everymorning, afternoon and basically everytime I'm in the car, (as well as watching some Daily News and Colbert occationally) I have come to the decision that I like Hillary. I know most of you are saying "Ee-gats! NO!" but here is why I my vote (if I actually do go and vote, it is not a standard practice of mine) will go to Hillary.
Obama scares me. He makes me nervous. I feel that he is all flash and fireworks, smoke and mirrors and that the Obama followers (which I think for the majority are young peeps) are naive and are buying into his "magic". He basically has no real political history that is more than a few years. He makes me nervous because what comes to mind when I think of him is Hitler, how he suddenly rose up because he was a powerful speaker and next thing you know he's killing millions AND he reminds me of a Nostradomus prophecy that basically said (this would be post Hitler) a "leader" would come along selling hope, happiness and shininess and end up basically being a devious disasterous figure in the end bringing an armageddon. Somehow the middleast would be involved and with today's goings on there I can't help but make this connection if you will to Obama. My gut tells me he is hollow behind his smile and there is just too much fandom around this guy.
I like Hillary cause unlike Obama, she wears her history on her sleve. Picture two pedestals: One with Hillary and one with Obama. Obama says "hey look at me! Im floating! I can do magic!" as he seemingly floats on a pedestal with nothing underneath. Later we'll find that it is all just smoke and mirrors and maybe somthing lascivious is underneath. Maybe just nothing except inexperience.
Hillary on the other hands is on top of hers and beneath it, all her history which she says, "This is my history, some good, some bad. It is my experience, my lessons learned and here I am today. This is who I am." I have better confidence in her because of this.
All these people are buying into the shininess and promises of Obama because he says all the right things people want to hear and preying on their hopes for a quick change like he is a knight in shining armor coming to slay the dragon. Hillary is there not telling you a fairy tale and tells you there will be change but it may take a bit because it is a constant battle with all the people in the political world.
So I may not like her,per say, but I still feel better about her than Obama. McCain? Well he's a Rebulican. And they don't talk about him much on NPR.
