So, Bruce and I got hitched on July 14, 2006. It was quick, easy and painless. The best part was the little getaway we stayed at for couple nights-- wish we were able to stay longer-- in a sweet little waterfront town called South Haven. South Haven reminded me of those tiny little beach towns up in East Lyme and further crossed with Mystic.
These pics are of "Martha's Vineyard" the bed and breakfast we stayed at and our room:
On Sunday we went to "Mount Baldy" on the Michigan Great Lake. Mount Baldy is this ginormous sand mountain (such a bitch to climb) near the "beach" at lake Michigan. The "beach" itself very much looks like and ocean beach. The Great Lake is so gigantic and very blue it looks like a pleasantly surprising facsmilie of the ocean. The only difference really, is when you get in the water and it is not salty. It is almost disarming breaking the illusion of being at a "real beach". But it works, for now, since a real beach is 800 miles away. Plus Frederyk LOVED it. He just jumped right in and played all day.
