LMAO these days I'm leaving my sims' education entirely up to them. If they roll any academic wants I'll fulfill them, but if they don't roll skilling wants & don't get skills themselves then I don't make them do it (unless they have honor roll or specific graduation type wants).
Yeah, I'm going to miss generation 5. ): But I have an awesome generation 7, so as circles of life go it's an acceptable one.
And now I believe I am officially caught up! I've never had a sim expelled before, though I suppose if they're not hyper-skilled when they hit college and don't skill automatically, that will happen when you're letting them run loose. (Especially if you're using a shorter semesters hack.)
Yeah, I've been letting my sims either skill autonomously or making them skill when they roll the wants (ex. if they just roll "get a skill" I'll have them get one they need, but if it's specifically "get level 3 in mechanical" or whatever I don't). It gets frustrating, since it seems like in college sims are more likely to roll homework or term paper wants (where were those homework wants in their teen days??)
Serena lived an extra rotation, actually! But yeah, they're all gone now. D:
I think Uni assignments and grades are easily rollable wants for all sims and homework is rare for teens unless they're knowledge? I don't know, I think its in the coding for who rolls wants and how often.
