6. How did you two meet: We met through a mutual friend but it was actually a lot more complicated than that. When I tell the story to my parents and even to my friends, it goes that we met through 'my neighbour'. The truth is, I met his friend online through some local site and it turned out that he lived a few doors down from me. The first time we met in person, he brought Gord along and the three of us made a night of it, watching scary movies and going to Boston Pizza. Things sort of carried on from there and we were dating a month later.
7. Do you see yourself marrying this person: Quite honestly, I do. This is my first serious relationship and although I used to have all these rules about 'not being able to fall in love until the first year' or 'teenagers not having the capacity to truly love someone romantically', I've finally realized that you can't put age and time constraints on these things. I truly love Gord and though it's taken me a while to admit it, I've never felt this way before and I believe it's true.
8. Tell us a romantic story: I don't have any romantic stories in particular because for me, it's always the little things that mean the most. I can go out and have a super fancy dinner, but in the end, it's the way he winked at me before his baseball game that gets me right in the heart. When we first started dating though, I was feeling bad about an argument I'd had with my family and he bought me a dozen roses to cheer me up. That was sweet. Oh, I have one more--hehe. One time, we were just casually talking and I jokingly said it would be fun to kiss with Pop Rocks (exploding candy things) even though I was sort of serious. I guess he could tell because a week later, he was like "I have a surprise for you" and he'd bought us the pop rocks.
9. Tell us a funny story: Hmm, that's actually a tough one. I can't think of anything particularly funny that's happened although we were in a haunted house this past Halloween with my little sister and both me and her were absolutely terrified. Gord promised he would stick with me the whole time and let me bury my head in his shoulder if I was scared. So we got caught up in this big group and I just couldn't grab a hold of him but he thought he'd been with me the entire time because my sister was digging her nails into his arm and he'd assumed it was me. :P
10. What is your song: We have a couple. "Before the Dawn" by Evanescence is our first one and we sort of had it even before we were dating. It's a pretty obscure song (some sort of demo that was never released) that we both sort of stumbled upon and instantly fell in love with. The other one is "Sugar We're Going Down Swinging" by Fallout Boy...it's sort of our summer memories song.
11. How does your significant other make you feel: Like a princess. He's the one who taught me that you don't have to hurt to love...and it's amazing.
