this is just some poem i wrote about a guy i know. it's one of those frusterating relationships, you love him, don't wanna be rejected so you try to hate him to avoid being hurt. it's generally fairly straight forward.

i'm listening to your voice
through a muffled screen
holding the receiver to my ear
only thinking the obscene
i'm starring hard at you
searching for contempt
i want to hate you so much
'til all of me is spent
i'm loving you so deeply
holding your words on my tongue
savoring the sugary droplets
to the lyrics that you've sung
i'm holding you so tightly
for hints of security
you say i lack a lot of things
overall maturity
i hold my knees to my chest
so my heart can't fall to the floor
i'm so scared of this you know
when i see you turning toward the door
i'm looking at your eyes
i think i may have missed my cue
a sob is lingering my throat
and you haven't got a clue
