(072) ★ A Unicorn For The Brat [Filtered From Chibi-Usa | Voice]

Albert!  Albert!  I need to borrow your horse.  You'll let me borrow your horse, right?

And.  I need someone to fashion a beautiful horn.  Long, and pointy and pretty!  Can someone do that for me?  I'd pay you with a great amount of love!

[...It's pretty easy to put two and two together.]

[Coming from a world where unicorns actually existed and their horns have magical healing powers... Yes, Yuan put two and two together. Poor Astrid.]

I can't help but feel this sounds an awful lot like animal cruelty.

Don't say something like that! I'd never be cruel to an animal!

Then, what will you do if Albert's horse refuses to cooperate?

Winry said something about making a rocking horse or something like that! I'll get her a unicorn, even if it ends up a toy one!

Something tells me a toy would be more appropriate.

But a 'real' one would be cooler!

You do realize that she will expect to keep a present, don't you?

[That poor little girl's hopes will be crushed when Albert arrives on the scene to take his horse back.]

[...]

I-I'll be sure to mention she can't keep it...

I may not know much about children, but I sincerely doubt she'll want to return a birthday present. Especially when it's a live animal.

I guess that's... Well... [don't be right. she thought it'd be an awesome plan] What if I told her that it was her chance to see it that was her present, not the animal itself?

That idea is even more atrocious.

Ooh. Albert mentioned having Astrid seen from afar because unicorns are mysterious. Does that sound better?

It doesn't solve the problem. Children need presents they can hold. Things they can keep and play with until they eventually grow bored and discard it.

[Usagi, you just know you're a bad mother when you're being lectured on children by Yuan, of all people.]

H-Hey! I know that! I was going to get her something else, too! I just thought she'd like to see a unicorn.

Hm... If you say so. Let me know how this works out.

Will do! And it'll work out amazingly, just so you know.
