One just never knows the blessings that come after turning a corner. I went to the Ateneo campus to do a little research and, lo and behold, I see a familiar head of curly hair and chinky eyes (on separate bodies, of course). There they were, my two favorite encounters in one small area--MM and Poklong
The fact that we were all well out of college and had almost no business in Ateneo only added to my surprise.
Poklong thoughtfully gave a me a copy of the Jakarta Biennale 2009 Catalogue where my piece on his Untitled (Caskets) appears. It never even occurred to me that my words would appear bound in those pages. I love the feel of books and this one was really was a pleasure to hold. It was bound perfectly; the cover matte, and the pages glossed. Thanks, Poks! (in case you read this)
