So Bucky's the same-ish height as Steve, yes? I was watching Winter Soldier last night (IT'S ALWAYS ON TV WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?) and I noticed Sebastian Stan was a lot taller than I think of him.

SURRENDER TO THE INEVITABLE, DUH. AS I HAVE. COME TO THE INEVITABLE SIDE, WE HAVE COOKIES IN/APPROPRIATELY CROTCHTACULAR STRIPPERS.
So, I think it goes like this: SebStan is roughly the same height as ChriEv, going by the various promotional pics and whatnot (maybe a smidge shorter? but like. a smidge). In CATFA, they shot it in such a way as to make post-serum Steve look several inches taller/bigger than Bucky, reinforcing the role-reversal blahblah. Then, in CATWS, the Winter Soldier has had various parallel things done to him as Steve had, and is now physically on par with him, and thus they can just let the two actors be their normal height with each other. I mean, that's my assumption. Woooo with the visual storytelling.

Huh, well that definitely wouldn't have helped with my 'SebStan is kinda short' issues, but I thought that before CA, so. I think it's because his head is so square, LOL.

Oh. Well then yeah, idk. You got me curious, so I can now tell you that according to that bastion of reliable information imdb, they're both around 6'. (Well. SebStan's very pedantically lists him as 5'11 3/4", and I just don't know why that level of precision is necessary, but anyway.) But yeah, a squarer head does change the perception of proportions. Also doesn't he play, like, woobies a lot? Giving off a poor widdle vulnerable vibe could also make him *seem* smaller.
But you know, until I checked, I kind of assumed Chris Evans was taller than 6'. EVEN THOUGH he is clearly a few inches shorter than the Hems, who is 6'3" (well, per imdb, 6'2 3/4"), so ... *shrug* ALSO, James D'Arcy is (legitimately!) 6'3", Hiddles is (plain old) 6'2" - and TWO YEARS OLDER than Hems. Today is just a day for mind boggling revelations, apparently.
