So I met with my stats prof today to discuss my dismal performance in her class. You know, I wish I could say she is a horrible teacher and she's mean and a bitch and all of that, but honestly she is one of the sweetest women I think I have ever met. Unfortunately, when people are kind to me I get all emotional about it. We had a long talk, with a few interruptions by the fabulously fab Lisa Jack whom I dedicate my psychological soul to, complete with jokes about Minnesota culture, hotdishes (or is the plural just hotdish too? help me out on this one), and the correct way to pronounce the word "aunt." One of my ideas for the study I'm doing next semester, if I pass this semester, is comparing dialectal differences among people from different states. Because I am nerdy and must insert language into every aspect of my life. Anyway, I was yammering on and on to her about it, and she told me she thinks I have some very insightful ideas. LOL, she should see me at midnight talking about munkers and tapemarks, a joke only Alia will understand. anyway, the point? the meeting went well, and I'm hoping to pass this class the first time around. I think I can, I just have to try to make it fun. So I've been writing up practice problems for myself:. Most include people with names like Borris, Kermit, and Waldow doing completely ridiculous tasks such as rating brands of toilet paper... I think my maturity level has really dropped this semester.
Anyway, that is all I have to say. Good-bye.
