I'm watching House, and NCIS, and yes GLEE! And various reality-esque shows (Hell's Kitchen and Project Runway and Amazing Race) and Grey's Anatomy and SPN and SGU and Castle. No new shows, apparently. Maybe I'll catch up on a some that survive the first couple of weeks.
The roommate really likes Five-O, so I figure I'll give it a shot, and of the cast I know on the show, I like them all, so it's got that going for it, too. Have not watched the Event yet, it seemed cast a bit much from the "heroes" "lost" mold, though I'd heard the second episode was a lot better than the pilot.
I found The Good Guys amusing last week. That's another light, buddy cop show. I didn't care for the pilot that much, but it was fun last week and since it is on a Friday it is about the right level of entertainment you'd want at the end of the week. H5-0 was a lot better than I thought it would be. It had some good banter and a Burn Notice-ish humor to it. And a killer theme song. Otherwise, not a lot of new stuff jumped out at me. Fringe has taken over as my favorite show and has been awesome so far so all is right in my world.
What network is The Good Guys on? I don't think I've heard of it. But, then, I kinda haven't paid a lot of attention to the new season, nothing was jumping out at me, either.

That's good to hear. I'll have to catch up on that today.
And Fringe is totally my fall favorite at the moment, too. I need to watch last night's ep. Last week was great, and then amusingly right after, I got one of those viewer survey things from Fox, wanting to ask me what I thought of the premier -- and then they asked me questions about, apparently, an alternate universe premier, because the questions totally had nothing to do with the episode I'd just seen. That was awesome. Spoilers, thanks Fox.
I'm glad you got to represent Fringe fans. The ratings have not been pretty (I think it has the most packed time slot on tv this season so not surprising...it gets great DVR ratings), but I'm pretty sure the show runners have embarrassing photos of network execs because I've not gotten the vibe anything bad is afoot. I need another Save My Show campaign like I need another hole in my head.
The Good Guys is on Fox Friday nights. It started this summer so there have been a number of episodes already, but I was able to jump in last week without any problems. You might have heard about it from the summer. It has Colin Hanks starring in it along with an old school cop kind of like Gene Hunt's more socially awkward cousin or something. It is for the laughs so that is where the comparison to LoM begins and ends. It's also by the guy who created Burn Notice.
Fox can be super quick to pull the trigger and kill a show, but it's like if you can make it past that stage, and they mostly sort of feel like they have a place for you, you can stick around. Bones' ratings have been middling at best, and its in its, what, Sixth season? I have my fingers very crossed for Fringe. I'm trying not to look at the ratings for anything anymore. It gives me indigestion.
Oh, and now I've watched Hawaii Five-0, and yeah, it's totally good fun so far. Danno wins it all, of course. Their argument in the car in the second episode ... I lol'd a lot. And man! The theme song. Exactly the same. When I heard it I was suddenly twelve again.
OMG! I missed you! And I totally missed this update when you posted it. We need to catch up because I feel like we haven't talked in years. Maybe because we haven't actually talked-talked in years. Dude. I haven't seen you guys in years. Like...years. With an s on it. That's just not right.
Anyway! Yay for new nieces and yay for good tv and I have to ask if you're watching Haven and cause I think I'm the only one who is watching it so maybe it sucks.
Hi! I've totally missed you, too. And it's understandable missing this post, seeing as I went like three months without posting at all. I'll be surprised if people haven't forgotten me entirely.
But, argh! It has been ages and ages since we've talked. I totally miss you lots. I need to be more active here or on twitter or something.
No, I haven't watched Haven, though I was thinking of maybe giving it a shot.
