There are actually five kittens, it turns out. I don't know where the fifth one has been hiding, but it was a surprise to see it out there this morning. A pleasant surprise, especially since I spent most of yesterday convinced that Harvey had been lost. But, both Harvey and new kitten were out today. New kitten presents a problem, however, as I never really read any of the Bat-books, and so I'm rapidly running out of names. Which is why kitty 5 is now called Ra's. I'm sorry kitty 5! Next time I see a batch of kittens, I'll go Marvelverse! I promise!

Mom's name, by the way, is Doppelganger. She got the name when, on first seeing her, we thought Domino had somehow escaped the house and was running wild, and then, of course, we realized our cat was inside snoozing away and is also roughly twice the size of her doppelganger. It's the little clues ... they added up.

I tend to name, um, everything. Really. Zebulon the limping coyote. Gladys the tiny sparrow that would sit on the front walk and screech at me. Biff the Xtreme snail who tried to scale the street light post. Bob the orange tabby, slayer of mice. Kurt Wagner the giant mutant weed tree thing. It's a compulsion.

Hey! I never posted much about "Last of the Time Lords aka I DO BELIEVE IN FAIRIES! I DO!", did I? Well ... how interesting. I don't know if I'm prepared to rewatch it yet. RTD surprised me by taking a shufflestep towards George Lucas on my hate-o-meter. DON'T DO THAT, RUSTY! I'm just not in an emotional happy place to deal with that right now. I did get about two pages into a recap, but that was two-pages of pained babbling before I even hit play, and I realized I couldn't actually bring myself to hit play, so ...

Though, it did really, really make me want to rewatch Life on Mars, which I should do, and whose finale was 900 kinds of perfection (about which I wrote very little, as well). I should do that.

Except, I'm sort of in the middle of a run of Third Doctor stories, which are easing my Who-angst. "Spearhead from Space", "Inferno", and now I'm on "The Silurians", which has rubber Dinos, and what's better than that? (well, I mean, besides Robot Dinos, which are obviously better than anything in the history of forever. But we must be content with dinos of any form.)

Maybe I should also rewatch Primeval, which was charmingly ridiculous and chock full of dinos. Except, maybe I'll skip the ep that was chock full of giant spiders. GAH!

I'm not sure how I feel about the Transformers movie. I ... I love me some robots, I do. And I had transformers. I had an Optimus Prime, damn it. But, really, it's not that I'm worried my childhood's going to be destroyed or something, I wasn't that attached. And, honestly, George Lucas already burned my childhood to the ground and then salted the earth upon which it stood. So, there's nothing left. I just really don't like Michael Bay. But, people keep saying it's worth seeing. I'm ... I'm just sorta torn.

Anyway, that's just my long-winded way of saying:

Happy birthday, Chuckles! Luff you lots.

dinos!, doctor who, kitties!
