i just utterly love this. and i know i already told you, so skip the comment but i *had* to squee in public as it were.

He walks away from the end of hope, moving from the milling lost, the surviving dead.

sooo lyrical and visual.

And if she wasn't, then he was already dead, and if he was already dead, what harm was there in continuing on? So he takes another step.

mmmmmmmm. this is bad ass, yo.

whoa!! *highfive* That was frakkin' awesome!!! :::hugs:::

The dream persists, though, and all around him is a river of fire. He walks on, hoping with each step, that he'll find some inspiration, some idea, some guidance, some wisdom. Or maybe he'll find the boatman and know he missed Elysium.

I love the imagery that you've used throughout the fic, especially the imagery of the boatman and the myth of Elysium.. seriously, excellent!! :D

Wow.

So awesomely bleak and sad and desolately lost. Just so damn cool.

This is so lyrical. Just gorgeous. You really capture the hallucinatory aspects of what it must be like to be wandering alone after the apocalypse waiting for death. And Helo's desire to believe that Sharon made it back to Galactica, that she's okay, shows just what a miracle it must seem to him at the end of "33" when she shows up.
