Frustration
Figures, when I finally give in and waste the money to attempt to play an MMORPG, the damn thing doesn't work.
Not sure what's going on, but City of Heroes locks up about thirty seconds through the character creation process, the musical theme on an endless one second loop repeat. Locks the rest of my computer up with it; no Ctrl+Alt+Del to cancel, no Alt+Tab to switch out of the program, no Start Menu popping up when I hit the Windows key, nothing works. There's no particular part that locks it up; I've been at several different menus when it has frozen.
I should've just gone straight to bed last night. But no, I wanted to make sure the purple box worked, that I could at least log on successfully to the game after switching all my connectors around. Sigh.
Tonight I'm going to uninstall, install any new Windows updates the purple box doesn't have, reinstall, and see if it works any better.
Any advice from veteran players out there as to what might be wrong?
