I'm on episode 21 of 24. It's amazing.
Not in the way Haibane Renmei was, mind you, but still, I think it'd probably make my top ten list were I to make one. I'm still a little hesitant... but... overall, it's been really good and had I the money, I'd buy it.
... I think I will buy it... when I get the money...
It's fantasy/sci-fi mix... and they do it in a really cool way. At first, I thought I was in for something kind of like Slayers, but it's not that at all.
And there's the whole weapons with human forms deal that we see in Kyoshiro to towa no sora.
Though no love affairs with the weapons this time around.9_9
And they look more like an angel from NGE than stupid mecha when the Peacemakers are in their true forms. The dragoons look like... dragons... which is cool by me. Much rather would have a decent looking dragon creature than an ugly mecha and even the Peacemaker designs are kinda nifty.
I gotta finish a paper unfortunately otherwise I'd be watching the last several episodes.
I'm sure I'll have a couple gripes later... I do now even, but overall, it's been a good series!
Edit/
Overall: It was enjoyable. Not the most amazing thing I've ever seen. But I think because I was expecting it to be terrible, and it ended up being pretty solid, I was surprised and enjoyed it. I wouldn't expect to get attached to the characters, I think I liked it more because it kept moooving more or less. The characters though, yeah, not extremely well developed... though maybe I just have an overactive imagination and want to fill in the gaps. For whatever reason, the fact that the characters weren't that well developed though didn't bug me. Again, probably due to the fact that things were going at a steady pace. It told a decent story, I thought, even if it didn't really have extremely well-rounded and interesting characters. And yay for something that isn't drawn out forever.
