Aw, those themes are just a natural growth out of my passion for list-making.
Dor is very good! I would be surprised if it doesn't end up on my favorite movies of the year list. Netflix has it, and you can get the DVD cheaply from nehaflix.com, but it might be tricky to track down otherwise.
Oh, and I want to say (because I like Dor a lot and want to sell people on it!) that it sets up two really sweet love stories, and keeps them going even though things get Complicated. When Zeenat's husband proposes he says, "I used to wonder why God created you, but now I just thank him every time I breathe" and I melted inside. And she asks him why he wants to marry her and he says something like, "so we can be together forever" - and then she says, "do you really think social custom is stronger than my will?" and he's like, no. Of course not. That's why I love you. More melting.
I have Netflix (although, sadly, I am one of the people they make money off of because I tend to keep my movies way longer than I mean to!), so it shouldn't be a huge issue. I'm totally in the mood for a really sweet love story, so it keeps sounding better and better to me. I think I'm gonna send off for this and Whip It tomorrow.

Anyway, this made me want to watch Dor and Return to Cranford.
