My Weekend

Well it was a blast! It turned out to be a pretty wicked weekend. I went home Thursday and Colleen (lewy) came over after work and we just hung out and talked and bonded. Good times were had by both of us! Friday I slept in and it felt great!! Then in the afternoon I went and picked up Ashley from her place and we came back to Wetaskiwin for our guest appearance in the Wetaskiwin Classical Dance Group show. We did our ballet piece. We had a quick rehearsal on stage and then Ash Heff Crystal and me went out for supper. We went back, did our number and then Ash and I left. The number went well, I mean not the best we've done it, but good none-the-less. Oh I have some cute stories from this one. This is the studio I grew up at and the studio I helped out at last year and the years before that, so everyone knows me there. All the girls said hi to me and it made me feel special. Then I was in the bathroom getting some water and I had my Tutu on and the littlest girls were in there too. I bent over to get a drink and one of them said, "I can see your underwear!" I laughed because it was just the button of my tutu with all the ruffles on it. It was good. Then another one said that "I looked as beautiful as [my] Barbie" Man, to a little girl, that's damn beautiful!

Anyway, Ash and I had to boot it to the Museum for the rest of dress rehearsal. It didn't go that smooth, but we got through everything. When we got home, Ash and I decided we wanted to go out and do something. We ended up going to Camrose to Caddies (a bar there) with Kelly. It turned out to be so much fun! That place gets packed! We had these two guys follow us around all night. I mean that one was hot and all but leave us alone for a while. So at the end of the night they asked for our number, Ash came up to me and said, "who's someone you hate? Oh wait, what's JP's number?" So I gave it to her and she gave it to them as our number. Funny. Closer to the end of the night we met this hottie. Oh he was wonderful, he wanted us to come and party, but we had to be up early in the morning. Yummy though. Ash and I love going out dancing together because we go buck wild with the moves and we just dance the night away!

Saturday morning we went to the museum at about 10:00 and got ready in our '80's outfits. Oh they were hideous. Mine was a satin lime green button up shirt tied in the front, bright pink tapered pants and high tops. Along with some bracelets and a purple hat. Ewwwww, but so much fun! We did our lip sync thing, it went bad on Saturday cause no one understood what was going on, but really well on Sunday. Then I got into my '60's outfit. It was a short flower-y dress with bell sleeves. It was so pretty. We were supposed to be protestors so we went through the museum and got people to come and see us. I got to drive the car for this decade. It was a 1960 Buick Electra. Beautiful car. I wish I had one of my own. The 60's were so much fun. Then on to the '40's. Ash was a War boy and I was a swing girl and she drove up with another guy and I was with another girl and we did a little swing dance. It was so fun. The crowd loved it! Next came the '20's. Ash and I were flapper girls. We made up a dance, we looked fabulous. Then a gangster came in and there was a skit in front of us, it was fun. Then we got dressed in the teens and were just extra's buying newspapers. We had some awesome outfits. Saturday we got rained out before the '20's. Sunday it rained us out at the '60's. It really came down, we were stuck in our dressing trailer and no one would come and get us to get us to the main building, so finally after about half an hour we decided to put on dry cleaning bags and booted it to the museum. It was so funny. I lost my flip-flops in a bit of a river, it went floating away, and good thing I caught them! The rain and hail let up after a while and we continued with the day. I'm really exhausted now, it was a long weekend, but I loved it so much. I didn't want to come back; I mean what is better than being able to play dress up all day! Hope all of your weekends were as good as mine. Have a good night. I'm out.
