The sun has set all but it's last few rays, which coat a golden sliver of light far away across the horizon. Carlisle's feeling enthused enough to smile back at them, every once in awhile. He never makes eye contact though.

Edward grimaced with a faint roll of his eyes. "My anatomy teacher is much more focused on the body parts of his mistress than the ones in the text book."

Not that anyone else in the hall had known or listened to that. Obviously.

Without missing a beat, Carlisle returns, "Sometimes that makes the class more interesting." With a chuckle, "At least he cares about the human form?"

He probably doesn't recite their Latinized names for the bone structure and musculature either. How sad.

Edward may have smirked faintly at Carlisle's thought.

"As opposed to physiology professor who probably hasn't lifted his face from a book to a real person in years. I don't need to look up even. His notes were written years ago but he never deviates from them."
