ben isn't coming! i'm so, so bummed out. apparently, about a month ago he got a jury summons, and he filled out the appropriate paperwork saying he couldn't do it (which apparently you can only do once, according to the king county website) and thought he was in the clear because they didn't send him anything back after that saying he had to do it, but got something today in the mail saying he has to be in court on monday, and he was leaving monday night! i told him he should just try to get himself eliminated but he doesn't think it would work. oh, and his ticket is non-refundable. i feel awful. i really encouraged him to come, part of this is my fault. and his ticket was way expensive. damnit.
