Happy New Year everyone! It's a little late but I got back home from Vegas this morning at about midnight so I was really tired. The bus ride seemed to drag on forever and they didn't even show any movies this time around. All I did was sleep, listen to my cd's, and look out the window during the trip. I didn't have any money except for $.60 so my sister looked and found some change too and we pulled our money together to buy two apple pies at mcdonalds to eat for lunch.

I'm so glad to be home, but I have a sore throat probably because I didn't eat or drink much water during the day of the show. I almost blacked out because of the smoke and lack of water but the trip was well worth it. I really enjoyed The Strokes set, very energetic and fun. The highlight had to be when my sister and I left the show, her friend dropped us off at the strip thinking we were going to be looking for the band there. So we walked around and realized her friend wasn't coming back and were stranded without a ride back to the place we were staying at. Luckily after asking some random people, my sister asked this guy who seemed very genuine and nice. We got lost going back to the place and during the whole ride, the guy talked about his problem with his girlfriend and asked us for advice...so I have no experience with relationships and could only offer some insight. But yeah he also dropped us off at the bus station very early in the morning and we waited there till our bus left.

The trip was fun even though we didn't gamble or walk around the strip much. Greyhound is pretty comfortable..I don't think I could take it all the way to the east coast though. The ride to vegas alone seemed long enough..I'm going to spend the rest of my vacation resting and drinking lots of water. hope everyone had a safe and happy new year
