Thats sad, Jill has made more updates than me lately!

Sorry I have been MIA lately. To tell you the truth, probably the only reason I havent updated lately is because the xbox that I orderd a week or so ago came the night of my last update!

And with the game system came FABLE. I dont think Chris or I have thought about anything but fable for the last couple of days. When the xbox came we thought really hard about which of the games we should start first. At first, we didnt even think about starting Fable first because it would most definatly consume most of our time and we didnt want to let the other games sit around for so long before we picked them up. But we thought maybe we will just start a file or two just to see how the game plays. Well as any good game should, it draged us in kicking and screaming and here we are now with a total of 12+ hours logged already. On Wednesday when I got home from Classes at 3, I found that Chris had aready dived right in and begun playing. Throught the course of the night I would come back to the room or once I came home for the night, he was still there playing his file of Fable. It wasnt untill like 11:00 that night that he got off! That crazy kid. He said he stopped to get food, but Im not too sure about that one.

Chris and I have different veiws on how to play that game, and there are SO many ways to play it! So we each started separt files and we watch eachothers story lines to see the whole game. His character is a evil brute swords lover named Natas the Assasin, where as my character is nuteral to nuteral good semi scrawny magic lover named Gryphon the Druid. I am no where near as far as Chris is with his character. His character is all the way evil with almost all of the physical atributes pumped as far as they can go. I am trying to keep my charater well balanced. I still use swords and the bow, but I try to mix in some magic here and there. MAN I LOVE THIS GAME!

Besides Playing Fable, we havent been doing a whole lot. I have still been working on thursdays, and I should have updated on my usual Thursday shift but I was studying for my first test here at ISU in my Social Psychology Class. I spent the magority of the night with my nose in the book, but it sure paid off. Besides from taking my first test at ISU, I got my first 100% A on a test!

And I WOULD be playing fable right now if I wasnt working, but no, I get sutck with the holiday weekend, middle of the day, saturday shift. ITS DEAD HERE! Its not only dead here, but everywhere. I guess everyone is going home for the weekend. There is only one food court open due to the lack of population here, and unfortionatly is that its over by where SeaN and Be7y which is acrost the quad from where I live. I didnt mind the walk, but the crazy thing is that the quad WAS COMPLETELY DEAD! Its weird seeing so many people inbetween classes to absolutly NO ONE! Even my dorms are EMPTY. Its weird.

Fork, You just called me at work! Yay!

Another thing that I have started this last week is working out. The fitness center opened on Monday and I have decided to go two to four times a week. This is all part of my play to get a bit more in shape. I mean its not like im not in shape, just not the right one. Unfortunatly "round" isnt a very desirable shape. I weighed myself for the first time in a while and that was also some motivation to get in shape. I am not extreemly uncomfortable with my body, thats just not me. I have just looked at to many pictures of young skinny Skylar to live with big tummy Skylar much longer. So I am working out two to four times a week and watching what I eat a bit closer. I try to have a salad or one of Subway's 6 grams of fat Subs at least once a day. Hopefully once the rice maker moves back to the dorm room where it belongs I can move those two options to 3. Or at least a semi healthy snack instead of those chips that loom on the 2 shelf, just waiting for a night when im not thinking correctly and woops - there they go!

One thing that I wish I could get into a bit more than I am is the show "Going Tribal"! I LOVE that show. As JIll and I where dozing last night, I turned on the TV to find my favorite show about 10 minutes into the program. I love catching the show early on because then I dont miss much. This was the episode where to become part of the tribe, Bruce had to take an overdose of a powerful hallucinogenic, iboga, that is in a plant that they grow. The goal of this is to connect with the dark spirits and tell the elders about what his visions are. Not having any experience with hallucinogens I am always really curious to watch people or hear about other peoples expierences so I was anticipating a pretty cool show. Not that it wasnt a cool episode, but the elders in this tribe believe that the experience is strickly for the elders and the person participating in this ritual so the camera's where not allowed to film anything other than the begining when he is consuming the plant and the rebirth ritual right after the 'trip.' I really respect them for following the wishes of the tribe and I think its amazing how much this one guy, who wouldnt have to if he didnt chose to, has went through. I would love to meet him. I wonder if they will come out with the season on DVD?!

So when Im off here at 4:00, Im headin home for the weekend. This 2 week stay here has been the longest I have been away from home EVER! Thats pretty cool. Now its like second nature. I am pretty adjusted here and I actually love it here. But I am really excited about going home for a while. For example my brother called my cell phone and left a message where he sung 2 chorus's and one verse of Gwen Stefani's "Holla Back Girl." Usually when Im at home I cant STAND it when my brother run around the house singing the latest urban hits, but when I got this phone call, I actually thought it was funny. A grin came to my face and I think I may have let out a chuckle. I really do miss my family, but the good thing is that I get to see them in about 3 hours!

This weekend should be pretty cool. As of right now, Sunday, Jills dad is having a cookout and I am invited which means HOME MADE FOOD! Get f-ing HYPE! Monday I think is pretty free, but Tuesday I am skipping my one class of the day and not going back to B-Norm until later at night on Tuesday. Tuesday is actually the day Im most excited about. I have a couple of things to do with my mom, but other than that, I have a couple of things on my own agenda. Im going to try to hang out with Mr Tuggle for a little while in the morning, at least to say "Hey." I am also going to try to get some REAL avanti's bread from home since the Avanti's here definatly doesn't cut it. Last but not least "Crash" comes out on DVD on Tuesday and I am going to pick up a copy of that and Mom and I said we would watch that together! Im hype! Hopefully I will run into a couple of friends while Im home too!

So I feel bad for not updating because there are so many fun things that go on every day, and there are tones of things that come to my head tht I would love to put in here from time to time. Going a couple of days without updating maked me almost feel like I have lost a couple of days. When I go back and look at my old entries, I will be like "Oh, look I didnt update for a couple of days, I know I got the xbox ddurring that time, but what else happend!?"

One of the things I couldn't go without logging in here or at least tell who ever reads this entry was about the other day when me and chris where hanging out. One day we were hanging out and we looked out the window and we say that the sun was starting to set. The clouds were in the right positions and the sun was already casting beautiful colors on them so we decided, not only have we been inside for far too long, but we also decided that we should go on a quest to find the sun. This basically led us out to the quad where we would wander westward walking and talking. As we were walking next to us there was I guy on a unicycle that flew by us. We didnt really think about it for a second then we both evaluated what just happend and exploded into laughter. I mean really, when was the last time a guy on a unicycle just rode past you in a completely straight face.

I figure that wasnt worth the paragraph that that story came out to be, but I thought it was hilarious. But, I am also going to try to cut "I guess you just had to be there" completely out of my vocabulary. My reporting teacher suggested that if we cant gauge the audence to see if they would like/understand/laugh at the joke at hand, then dont tell it! But then again, in the long run, this journal is strickly for me!
