The bright candy attracted Xander’s attention, and Willow was able to leave him with the jelly beans and go into her room to think. She had bought the jelly beans just for the purpose of Xander bounding over towards her to bother her. Willow didn’t want to talk to him; she didn’t want to talk to anyone.
If Willow believed in skipping, she might leave the library and go find Angel. (She only thought one should skip class if something was really, really important.) He had been on her mind lately, she wasn’t sure why. And she didn’t think that just going to see someone was really a good excuse for her to leave study hall. Even though the only thing she was really doing was working on her 52 book in 52 weeks project. It wasn’t like it hadn’t been only 4 weeks since she started, and she had read about 15 of the books she had decided to read.
Xander apparently finished the jelly beans faster than she thought he would. So, she set the book down, and pushed thoughts of going to see Angel out of her mind. She gave Xander a smile, and listened to him as he began some rant about Cordelia and how she was avoiding him again.
