Although I don't have my ticket yet, or set itinerary, or set places to stay, I'm excited about europe. I really go up and down with it. I start wondering if I'm making a poor choice, mainly because there's three very awesome and important people who are getting married this summer, and I'd miss them.
New general plan: (which I need to iron out)
June 16th/17th- Begin Germany round:
Rothenburg on the Romantic Road. Three days? Be there with my brother and his wife and Sabina.
June 20th
Munich.
2 days? June 22nd
Wherever my professor is - a few hours away I gather.
2 days? June 24th
Stay and catch up with Jenn, whom I haven't seen since I graduated high school. Also a few hours from Munich.
4 days? June 28th
Work my way back up north - Koln? 2 days? June 30th
visit a distant relative and see where my great grandfather is from - relatively near Koln.
2 days? July 2nd
Travel down the Rhine back to Frankfurt. Catch a flight for Copenhagen, Denmark.
July 3rd
With modifications, this would put me in Denmark for the fourth of July, hopefully, and its 10 day jazz festival. I'm a bit worried about how difficult it will be to travel and find a place to stay with that going on. Looking into couch surfing, or hostel. Trying to talk Nick and Vanessa into joining me.
Copenhagen- 5 days? July 10th
Soren Kierkegaard
Hans Christian Anderson
statue of 'the little mermaid'
huge jazz festival
museums
anything on viking era? Beowulf, Sigfried? Might be the wrong spot for this.
flight to Rome? 5 days? July 15th/16th
fly back to the states from Rome?
I need to find out how much all these one-way tickets will cost me.
:-/ But I'm getting excited
