I spent all night last night having bizarre dreams and waking up. At one point I was in a car that wound up going off a cliff. I don't know how into the paranormal you may be, or if you've got... uh, religious connections... so don't be offended by my rambling kay? I have read a few things by Sylvia Brown (the psychic lady) and a lot of what she believes makes sense to me. Your description of waking up "bouncing" in the bed is something she describes as uh... I think she calls it astral travel? Something like that. Basically, your soul leaves your body at night to visit "the other side" or visit people close to you, or a bar... or whatever... and occasionally she says some people experience their bodies waking up before their soul has returned completely, which results in either thinking you're dying (can't breathe, can't move briefly) or feeling your soul re-enter, which is the falling feeling.
Maybe you do have an overactive imagination. But in another way of thinking, you'd have a very active soul that you're just more aware of than most people. The ghost dream tripped me out too... I don't know that they would be able to physically carry you, but I wouldn't doubt someone else had something to do with that dream.
/end crazy.

I don't even know, man. The ghosts thing is one of my most vivid dream memories, because I woke up in the situation I'd been dreaming, and it was freaky and extremely vivid. I did find there's a REM Sleep Behavioral Disorder, though, which sounds exactly like what I do. There's no known cause, though, so I've no idea.
