Poem for Padfoot

Hey yall, I wrote this a while back, and actually posted this in a community (806 to be exact), and well, thought I'd post it here too.

Imagine
Imagine everything was simple
And all the world was right.
Imagine God reached down his hand
With loving, helpful might.

Imagine everything was good
And everyone could share.
Imagine every thing was held
With tender loving care

Imagine that it never happened
And everything was still.
Imagine everyone was happy
With no one who would kill.

Imagine life was perfect
No hatred and no war.
Imagine everything was different
And nothing as before.

Imagine, just as angels,
Each person gave God’s love.
Imagine that our hearts could fly
On wings, just as the dove.

Imagine all those spirits here,
Of those we know are gone.
Imagine that they’re with us still,
Our hearts in joyful song

Then remember that we’re wishing,
And none of this is true.
Remember what was given,
To me, and to you.

Remember what has happened
And those stars we wish were bright
Remember this and tell me
Why it had to end tonight?

Imagine that we’re wild and free
And life is not a cage
So take a breath and close your eyes.
Now turn another page.
